One of my goals this year was to grow a herb garden. I’m not a very skilled gardener, I know how to plant things, water them, and maybe use some fertiliser if I’m feeling adventurous. Luckily the little seedlings are growing nicely. I think I picked a good thing to grow since herbs like being in pots, and getting lots of sun!

I planted:

  • Mint (very good in iced tea)
  • Oregano (for pizza!)
  • Thyme
  • Majoram (good on roasted veggies)
  • Feverfew (it has pretty flowers)

They’re doing very well so far, and have grown enough that I have started using some in my cooking.

And… this blog has had a little makeover! I’m so proud that I managed to master the three-column layout. It was a hard fought battle, but I won in the end! I took lots of inspiration from Pugly Pixel‘s great resources. She does good work!

With the new design, I’m so excited to announce that Royal Milk Tea is accepting sponsors! You can read all about it here. Regular sized spaces are free if you want to do a sponsorship swap! I think it will be fun! Please let me know if you’d like to know more ?

Wow, your herb garden puts my sad little weeds to shame. I try, every year, to plant buckets of basil, cilantro, chives, oregano…none of it ever takes. I’m like the worst gardener ever. You must be cooking up some wonderful things with your bounty!

Oh, that’s a shame! Do you use seeds or seedlings? I never have any luck with seeds. My main problem so far has been bugs eating the leaves, grr!

I’ve got some herbs planters on my kitchen window sill, parsley + chives. They could probably do with a little more use to make them bush out but whatever, they make me feel healthy when I look at them!
