Here are some more little sketches, it seems like I have been daydreaming about pretty dresses and fancy hairstyles. My hair is so resistant to being pinned up, but I will master milkmaid braids one day…
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend ♥ We have been spending lots of time inside by the heater over here, because I haven’t been very well. But we did brave the chilly weather yesterday to have breakfast at our favourite cafe. I’m so happy that my cold is almost gone now. I think the only good thing about getting sick is that it reminds you how nice it feels to be healthy!
I took these pictures with a new camera app called Leme Camera. It’s kind of like a cross between Hipstamatic and Instagram. Fun! I thought the airmail style borders were cute~

Ah, those sketches are really pretty!! :)
I’d love to have milkbraids one day, too. But I’m not very talented when it comes to hair, also I just cut them off a few weeks ago…
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
Happy start into the week. XOXO.
Aww, thank you! I hope you’re having a lovely week too.
I’ve been trying to grow my hair for a few years now… Having shorter hair is fun though, it’s much quicker and easier to take care of :)
You are such a great illustrator! I love the cute hairdos!

Thank you Jo! I loved your hairstyles post, I’m feeling very inspired to try some of them out!
Fabulous sketches. Get well soon, having a cold is no fun.
Thank you! I’m feeling much better now :)
Ooh, this set reminds me of my school days when doodling was my number one priority. I’d love to see the results of your mermaid braid practice! And my favourite Pre-Raphaelite painter is Millais who ran away with Ruskin’s wife Effie and painted A Huguenot on St Bartholomew’s Day. I saw it at an exhibit in the Musee d’Orsay and it was so good that it brought tears to my eyes. My favourite artist from that period is Lord Leighton, as much for his house as his art. :D
Arianne from A + B in the Sea
I’m planning to do a hairstyle post soon! I managed to get my hair into fancy braids but it took a long time, I think I need more practice.
I love Millais too, especially his ‘Ophelia’ painting.

ah feel better! yes.. whenever i’m sick i think “wow. it is SOO nice to be healthy.” definitely a good reminder of that.
blah. it is so hot here. miserably hot and humid.. i guess i shouldn’t complain though because we had a freezing winter and i don’t want that to come back just yet :)
It’s funny isn’t it! I’m sure in summer I will be wishing for it to be cold again. Humid weather is the worst! I hope it cools off a bit for you soon~
your sketches are just lovely. i wish i owned the dresses you drew! you’re so lucky to be able to draw like that :)
