Spring fever

Goodbye winter, hello spring! I love the start of a new season. Here’s to cherry blossoms and sunny days.

It seems to be the season for big changes around here too…

Eep! B. and I are expecting our first baby in late April/early May 2012. I will be 6 weeks this Saturday! I was going to wait before telling everyone, but I am awful at keeping secrets, so I only lasted about a week. I had a dating scan yesterday and we got to see the little heartbeat ?

I mentioned on twitter a little while ago that I thought I was having a chemical pregnancy. It turns out those symptoms were actually the start of a not-so-chemical pregnancy, heh. I remember my doctor saying ‘well, I’ll send you for a blood test, but I’d be very suprised if you were pregnant’. So, surprise!

I have my first antenatal appointment in October and I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll get into the Midwifery Group Practice.

Thank you to all of you lovelies who have congratulated me so far. I’m so excited!

      Thanks Sarah! I’m crossing everything for the Group Practice! If I don’t get in I’m thinking of having a student midwife so that way I’ve got someone the same all the way through. I’m happy that I can still have midwife care either way, I just really want to be in the fancy birthing centre :p

      I’ll have to pick your brains sometime about cloth nappies too!
