Our house continues to look more and more like an Ikea showroom. Can I have corporate sponsorship yet? I’ll settle for a lifetime supply of Princess Cake :9
Before, our desks were side by side under the window, with the shelf part of my desk in-between. We had an old, brown bookshelf piled with half books, half ‘stuff,’ and plus a big pile of junk in the corner since our apartment is a) tiny and b) has no storage at all. We bought two new shelves in birch, which matches our other furniture, to replace the ugly bookshelf, and moved our desks. It feels so much more open now! I unearthed a lot of junk that needed to be thrown out, but also some treasures, like my typewriter and my Polaroid camera which still has film in it.

The maps are all from places we have visited (Tokyo, Amsterdam, Paris).

Does it stay tidy? My desk only stays tidy for a little time then it gets messy again.
It will stay tidy for about a day, haha. I’m sure it will be back to the usual pile of papers and other junk that it usually is very soon.
come decorate our house, please! our living room has such heavy, dark furniture, that i’m super excited about redoing the guestroom/nursery because i want to use light furniture and HOPEFULLY we will get a chance to drive up to ikea (ours is a little over an hour north) and buy some nice little furniture like yours! ♥
I love the look of dark furniture if it’s in a big room with lots of light! But since we’re in such a small space and don’t get much light inside it’s been good to have everything in light colours.
I can’t wait to see pictures of your nursery, K! You’re lucky that you can paint and put stuff in the walls as well (we can’t do that since we’re renting *sad*). Ikea has the cutest nursery stuff too! I always have to stop in that section and point out which crib I want and which quilt set I will buy, hehe.
