I thought it would be fun to have a final record of life with a tiny handbag. I’ve been hunting for the perfect big bag to use as a combination nappy bag/hand bag but they are all either hideous or expensive (or both). Then this super cute bag which I have been admiring forever was on super marked-down sale at Mod Cloth ♥ It arrived yesterday and I think it will be perfect, especially with the addition of the cute changing mat I ordered from here.

  • Pencil box with nice pencils and pens, so I don’t have to use the yucky ones at work
  • Kate Spade reading glasses
  • Frankie 2012 journal (best diary ever!). I love that this year it has a little pocket in the back for keeping things~
  • Pregnancy record- it has all my antenatal care information & forms, plus some printouts from our ultrasounds
  • Hello Kitty purse which was a gift from my sister-in-law. I love how it looks like an envelope!
  • Pouch with various things like a comb, my work keys & fob, painkillers, and a big roll of antacid tablets for my heartburn
  • Car keys! I’ve been downgraded to the non central-locking key since B. drives more than I do. Now I have to open the car using a key like a sucker…
  • Plain lip balm and Strawberry Coconut vegan lip gloss by Pure Gaisha
  • Sunglasses
  • Bunny bag from Marble Sud (free gift with a Mori Girl magazine)

It will be interesting to see what my after-baby handbag will look like. I’ll be sure to post a comparison!

Aw, thank you! I like having a smaller pouch for all the extra bits too, it really does help! Especially for my work keys, because that way I can always make sure I have them in my bag.

Lovely items! I wanted to buy that magazine for the tote too, but I gathered I have too many bags! Frankie diary is the best diary ever!

I always want to buy magazines for the free gifts! But I try to make myself stop and think about whether I would actually use it or not, hehe.

I would also love to see a comparison after baby is born. You’ll have formula and cloth diapers to replace the gloss :P

I love that bag, too but the green eyed monster in me is glowing at the Frankie journal. it was almost three times as much to ship it, it was so beautiful!

And probably a lot of food crumbs, haha. It will be very different!

Oh, that’s a shame that the Frankie journal had such expensive shipping. I’m not surprised because Australia Post are the biggest price-gougers ever. It’s always so painful for me when I order from US sites too, I’m so happy when I find places with economy international shipping!

You are such an organised lady with adorable things! I always have the “is my bag too big or small” dilemma when looking for a new bag. I always end up with “big is best”! :D

I think big is best too! I’ve always had really tiny handbags so I’m enjoying having space for everything and more than one pocket :)

Just found your blog, really lovely! Congrats on your pregnancy, I have a 7,5 month old little girl and it is amazing beyong words. Yep, your bag WILL change ;)
I tried looking for a bag/nappy bag combination, but also found the ones I liked too expensive and eventually just kept my old bag and the nappy bag that comes with the pram :P (which is not really cute but it serves the porpose…)

Aw, thank you! Your little girl sounds so sweet.

I have a smaller nappy bag that came with our pram too, so I think between that and a big handbag I should have enough space :)

Post baby…just wait…I feel like I carry luggage around to make sure I have enough for my son:) I always feel like I can never be too prepared.

Loving that bunny bag! I just visited the Marble Sud site to look for one and ended up falling in love with everything else there too…dangerous:) That pouch is adorable too! What editing tool are you using to get such whimsical & pretty lighting/coloring in your photos? They are always so dreamy looking!

Most of my photos are just from Instagram! Sometimes I also use a program called Toycamera to edit the rare pictures that I haven’t taken with my iPhone.

I love Marble Sud and Mori Girl style in general, everything is so pretty!

Well what a cute little purse you have! The contents of my purse are not nearly so interesting, I fear. Mostly just old grocery lists and a falling apart wallet ;) hope you’re feeling well and enjoying your pregnancy!

The little pouch was actually a gift and I think it came from Etsy :) I tried looking up the seller but they don’t exist anymore, which is a shame!
