I love crisp mornings, orange leaves, and getting to wear lots of layers and pretty knitted things! We said goodbye to Autumn with a little road trip through the Adelaide Hills to visit an antique fair, then have lunch beside an open fire at a cute country hotel. The Hills are so pretty at this time of year! It makes me miss living in the country sometimes…
And I found this pretty dress in a thrift store! I have a special love for thift stores in the Hills, so far I’ve had really good luck there ♥
My lemon tree is growing so fast! So are my bangs, I think it’s almost time for a haircut!

Gorgeous photos. I especially love the first one (I’m a sucker for shoe shots!)
I really like seeing your thrift finds too!
Thank you! I love taking pictures of my shoes, hehe. I think most of my photos are of shoes, or of coffee! I want to have a big op-shopping day soon, so hopefully I will have more pretty things to share~
I agree with Cath, the shoe shot is wonderful. And the dress looks like a winner!
Thank you! Isn’t the dress so pretty? I can’t wait to wear it!
I want your shoes! I love Italian looking shoes.
Aren’t they cute? B. thinks they are ugly, hehe. I think they look a little bit like moccasins!
Cute dress! I never have much luck with clothes in thrift stores – only seem to score on accessories or homewares for some reason. Such as the four vintage pillowcases I picked up yesterday at a bargain 25p each! I might make one of them into an apron… Love your photos – they’re making me yearn for autumn (although the weather here is pretty autumnal despite being spring so perhaps I should just embrace that).
I love love love all the pretty vintagey linens that are in thrift stores! I have to resist the urge to buy all the vintage sheets. An apron sounds like such a good way to use a pretty pillowcase! I want to collect a lot of different vintage materials to make a patchwork quilt one day :)
I love your blog posts, they make me so happy!
I really think you should do some more poetry reading, i loved the last one! :)
Also, thanks so much for the comment on my bloggy. To be honest, its your blog thats inspired my new makeover. I love how yours is so sweet and clear and beautiful.
Hope you had a lovely weekend Lyndall!
Aww, thank you La! You’re so sweet!
I’ll definitely do another poetry post! I’m sick at the moment so I will have to wait until my icky cold goes away so I don’t sound so blocked-nosey!

Hi! Thanks for visiting! I love your designs and stylings :)
Hello! :) I just discovered your blog today. It’s really lovely. I’ll definitely be back! :)
Thank you for visiting! ♥
your photos are so lovely! and what a great find with the dress!
Thank you! I love having an iPhone, it makes it so easy to take pictures without having to remember a big camera :)
Love the first photo, I am al ittle sad Autumn is over too, mostly because I hate winter :-) That little dress is so cute, great find.
I don’t mind winter but it is hard to do anything other than sit in front of the heater! It gets really cold where you’re from though, doesn’t it? We’re such weenies in Adelaide, 15 degrees is practically freezing for us!
I love your blog :) And I have the exact same dress that you’re wearing in the ‘fashion’ picture of your sidebar! ♥
i love when the leaves all turn red and orange, it looks so beautiful! but i really can’t wait for summer to finally hit sf, i have been waiting for it for sooo long!
i love living near a excellent thrift store! we have one huge one that is always a good time and has excellent treasures! that dress is a great score!

I’d love to go to SF one day! It seems like such a cool city! I’m jealous of American thrift stores, they seem to have so much more neat finds than our op-shops do~
love these pictures! so gorgeous. i love finding a good deal at thrift stores. :)
Ohh that dress is adorable! I wish I could find vintage finds like there where I’m from, our second-hand and vintage stores are a little lacking :(

that dress is perfection! just add a belt and voila: comfy-ness + lovely-ness. ;)
I love this! vintage dresses are the bomb. and the fall is leaving you? I’m jealous. where are you? it’s in the hundreds where I’m at ;)
I’m in South Australia! Our summers get into the hundreds as well, blech. I’m not much of a fan of hot or cold weather, I like the in-between seasons :)
Waaah! Cutest shoes!! I want some new shoes but I think they went up in price yesterday … I hope they go back on sale for a bit!!
Lovely pictures~ They’re beautiful.
Thank you ♥
There seems to be lots of mid-year sales on at the moment! I am trying not to buy anything more but it’s so hard to resist… there are so many cute knitted things around :X
