Here are some peeks into my sketchbook ♥
From a page where I was planning a series of nautical themed sketches. They somehow became more about the night sky above the ocean~
One of my many obsessions: botanical illustrations. I had a lovely time looking through lists of scientific names and seeing which ones I could remember. This one is Acacia Pycnantha. I’m not really sure how this will fit together, but I like where it is going. Maybe a small series of girls/botanicals in the style of old bookplates?
I love sketching but I find that it’s always a challenge to do more with the pictures! With just a pencil sketch I can always make changes, but once I add ink or coloured pencil then it’s permanent. I guess I can either keep making piles of sketches or I can be brave! Hehe. Right now I’m really liking the idea of watercolours, and mixed media. I’m in love with Kat Macleod‘s works, particularly the illustrations she does for Michi Girl.

Hearts! I feel an art-supply buying mission will be in my future…

Ah, these little sketches of yours are always so lovely. I really love the theme of stars and oceans! I hope you will continue with it :)
Oh, that’s so sweet of you to say ♥
I am trying my best to make lots of art this year!
you are very talented!
Thank you!
Oh your sketches are so so lovely. I too am a fan of botanical and anatomical drawings. I have sheet of butterflies I need to draw – oh but I am so dreadfully behind on everything.
I love scientific drawings of butterflies too :)
