In my bag
I thought it would be fun to have a final record of life with a tiny handbag. I’ve been hunting for the perfect big bag to use as a combination nappy bag/hand bag but they are all either hideous or expensive (or both). Then this super cute bag which I have been admiring forever was on super marked-down sale at Mod Cloth ♥ It arrived yesterday and I think it will be perfect, especially with the addition of the cute changing mat I ordered from here.
- Pencil box with nice pencils and pens, so I don’t have to use the yucky ones at work
- Kate Spade reading glasses
- Frankie 2012 journal (best diary ever!). I love that this year it has a little pocket in the back for keeping things~
- Pregnancy record- it has all my antenatal care information & forms, plus some printouts from our ultrasounds
- Hello Kitty purse which was a gift from my sister-in-law. I love how it looks like an envelope!
- Pouch with various things like a comb, my work keys & fob, painkillers, and a big roll of antacid tablets for my heartburn
- Car keys! I’ve been downgraded to the non central-locking key since B. drives more than I do. Now I have to open the car using a key like a sucker…
- Plain lip balm and Strawberry Coconut vegan lip gloss by Pure Gaisha
- Sunglasses
- Bunny bag from Marble Sud (free gift with a Mori Girl magazine)
It will be interesting to see what my after-baby handbag will look like. I’ll be sure to post a comparison!

25 weeks
It’s hard to believe that I only have about two weeks until the start of my third trimester. Time is flying! I’m loving this stage of pregnancy. Finally I’m a have a noticeable belly, even if it is a small one. Felix is very active, and kicks in response to our hands being on the bump. The other night he kicked me and I poked back and felt a little hand (or foot) flex against my finger. It was very surreal!

My favourite of all our recent baby purchases, some gorgeous handmade moccasins, made by Talia Christine.
Some days I am so excited to be a Mama and can’t wait to meet this baby boy. Other days I panic and hope he might come with an instruction manual. (I must admit, reading how many feeds and nappy changes a newborn needs was a little confronting…) We don’t have many friends with babies so we’re kinda newbies over here. Still, I think B. and I will do our best, and hopefully we will be fast learners ♥

Knitted lovelies

I’m a little sad that I won’t be buying any cute little dresses… But knitted jumpers and cute furry hats are just as fun! I’m looking forward to having lots of cute wooly things for this autumn baby ♥

Dream dresses: Frocktober style

What is Frocktober? It’s a lovely idea where in October, you can wear a dress and raise money for ovarian cancer research. 20% percent of the proceeds from this special Frocktober dress from ModCloth will go to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation of Australia ♥

Lazy days at home: snuggled in a big cardigan, wearing cosy socks, and drinking a pot of apple green tea~

Bike riding date: flat oxfords, vintage sunglasses, and enough change in my purse for an icecream~

Christmas love: a festive hairbow, a collection of deer ornaments, and lots of carols to listen to as we decorate the tree~
Here are some ways you can support Frocktober. One of my favourite bloggers, Anna at Much Love, is participating too. I have loved seeing all of her posts this month! You can sponsor her here.
You can see some of my other dream dresses collections here and here.

Birthday love: bunting DIY

Hi Everyone! It’s La again from the blog Little Messy La. Firstly, I’d like to say a huge Happy Birthday to Lyndall. Thank you so much for all the opportunities you have given me and for being the sweetest blogger.
For my guest post, I am sharing a simple birthday DIY! Using scraps, mini pegs and some string.
Paper Birthday Bunting!

Collect some scraps of paper. I don’t know about you, but I build up a scrap drawer that I am always aiming to use up when I get a chance. I feel this is the perfect opportunity! So, take your scraps, making sure they are big enough to fufill a 10 x 10cm square (10cm is roughly 4 inches). I like to try and make my colour scheme compliment each other, if possible!

Measure 5cm (half) of the square and put a little pencil mark.

Cut from the corner to the pencil mark on both sides. I like to use my paper trimmer to ensure that it is a perfect triangle.

Attach triangles to your string using your pegs.

Display, sing happy birthday and enjoy! It’s as easy as that and is super fun to do. Adding a handmade touch to a birthday is my favourite thing to do, it lets that birthday girl/boy know that you truly love them!

My name is Lyndall & this is my blog. I live in Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a librarian, an artist, a daydreamer and a collector of pretty pictures.
