We’ve been visiting a few antique fairs lately with my mum, who is almost as excited by vintagey things as I am~ I find it much nicer to uncover treasures hidden away in op-shops with very cheap price tags (like our cute dinner set), but I love antique fairs are for fun browsing ? This time I was brave enough to take photos of some pretty things!

I really want to start a ceramic deer collection ♥

(Cot sheets… These may have made their way into our baby hope box somehow… Hee.)

And speaking of antiques, I’ve been wearing some of the old nightgowns that my nanna gave to me. This one belonged to my great-great aunty Ruby, and I found her name tag still sewn into the hem! It really is the perfect old lady nightdress, and B. always laughs at me when I wear it, but it’s so comfy!

I hope everyone is having a lovely day. I’m watching nostalgic movies (Anne of Green Gables, big hearts) and trying my hand at new knitting project. I will be sure to share if it works out!

BOO I never find exciting things when op shopping, I must be going to the wrong places.

eek! I love Anne of Green Gables…one of my absolute favourites EVER!

I’ve found I have to dig through a lot of junk to find a few treasures in op-shops :)

Isn’t ‘Anne of Green Gables’ the best? Sitting down to watch the miniseries, and then the sequel, is one of my favourite ways to spend a lazy day ♥

Hi Lyndall, I just came across your blog via A Beautiful Mess and I had a read through, totally love your work! But then I tried to follow it via Blogger (google) and I can’t because they can’t find an RSS :( (Maybe you don’t have one set up?) Then I tried to email you this via your email link, but that’s not working :( Uhoh!

Thought I’d let you know :)

Thanks for letting me know! I’ve tidied up the links and added a more visible link to my RSS feed (I checked that link in my Google RSS reader and it seems to work, so let me know if you have any problems). I like to use Bloglovin to follow blogs too :)

are you not normally allowed to take pictures at antique fairs? i’m not allowed at outdoor art exhibitions or in galleries. hmm…is it a resell issue? a re-make issue?

random tidbit: my best friend is the great great neice of l.m. montgomery, the author of Anne of Green Gables…and her name is Anne! and she has red hair!

    1. Lyndall~ on 10.06.2011 at 04:14 (Reply)

I don’t think they mind but nobody else was taking photos so I felt a bit strange… Like they might think I was picking out stuff to come back and steal! Hehe.

Ahh, that is such a neat story about your friend! I want to go to Canada someday and visit the Green Gables house there :)
