At the start of the year I posted a list of 26 things I wanted to do before my 27th birthday. Now it is about halfway to my birthday at the end of September, so here is how I’m going so far…
5) Finish all my assignments and graduate. Done! I finished all of the work for my library degree, and I’m free of deadlines and student life for the first time since I started school. I’m yet to have my actual graduation ceremony, but since I’m already working as a librarian (and I’ve graduated twice before in other degrees) I don’t really mind.

8) Paint a big canvas for the living room. I decided to try something different, and made these really neat chevron feathers.

10) Finish a crochet project. I made some cute baby legwarmers to put in our ‘hope box’! It’s not a very big project, but I’m very happy with how they turned out! I’ve made a second pair with different colours too~
11) Get a blood picture done. I ended up having this as part of my pre-conception checkup. I was mostly curious about my iron levels since I’m vegetarian, it turns out they are great! I’m challenging myself to keep eating lots of green leafy veggies since I know they are helping my iron so much :9

13) Take lots of photos. Doing well! All of my ‘Snapshot’ posts can be seen via the link in the sidebar ♥

16) Have a monthly date night with B. It hasn’t been exactly monthly, but we have done lots of fun things like a mini road-trip, breakfast at Ikea, a visit to the Mortlock wing of the State Library, and lots of coffee dates.
26) Get a promotion. Done! I’m so happy and shocked and lucky that I was picked for a part-time position in the same library where I worked as a casual employee. I’ve been in my new role for almost four months and I’m really enjoying it~
I think list-making is magical… I highly recommend making lists of all kinds: to-do lists, seasonal lists, and… (my favourite) wishlists ♥

Aw, thank you!
Loving your list! I’m a really big fan of lists too – it’s so satisfying crossing something off when you’re done! I just posted a list of seven simple things making me happy right now here and have really enjoyed the lists that other people have responded with:

I love lists! It just seems like if I write it down, it will happen. And you’re right, that feeling of satisfaction when you cross something off is the best!
I think your seven small things is a great idea! I try to make my ‘Saturday Sweets’ posts like that too, it’s nice to create a little positivity ♥

I love lists! I have SO many at the moment, haha. I love keeping all the lists I write, just as a little memory thing.
Congrats on the promotion!
& I love the chevron feathers too!
What’s a hope box by the way? :)
Thank you! I like the idea of saving lists, I do that too sometimes. It’s fun to look back on them!
A hope box is just what I call our collection of baby things that we’re putting aside to be used when we have children someday :)
