I call this look ‘Baby goes to the French Rivera’. Love!
I can’t believe I am already half-way through my pregnancy! Although it still feels like forever until baby boy is due, I just know it will go so quickly. On the one hand I am impatient to reach some milestones, like having a bigger belly and feeling stronger kicks. But on the other hand I am trying to slow things down and enjoy every moment. We want a big gap between children, so I’m trying to to enjoy this season in life because I know I won’t have this experience again for a long time.
I had my first antenatal yoga class this week, and it was amazing. I love yoga but I stopped once I was expecting, because the routines I usually do were a bit too strenuous. These classes are run for free by a lovely midwife at my hospital, and they focus on lots of relaxation and stretching and positive affirmations. It’s just the sort of attitude I want to have during my pregnancy and birth so I think I will really enjoy being involved and going to class every week ♥ (The instructor said I am very flexible too! All my pre-baby yoga has paid off, hehe).
Another interesting thing was that while most of my classmates have lovely big baby bellies, but a lot of them said they hadn’t felt any movements yet. Bebe is very active and can already be felt from the outside, so I’m glad that I’ve been able to have that part of the experience, even if my belly is still very modest~
Since finding out the gender things have started to feel more ‘real’. It’s so lovely to think about how this baby boy will fit into our lives, and imagine how our little family will be with the addition of a son. We are both very much in love with him already!

Highlight of my last antenatal visit: a showbag full of free baby goodies!

My name is Lyndall & this is my blog. I'm a librarian and mama to bebe Felix (born 02/05/2012), sharing little snapshots of my life, things that inspire me, love letters, and lots of daydreaming ♥

Aw that is so sweet Lyndall, enjoy it all…I’m sure it will go by faster than you think. :) -Lo
Thank you! ♥ Yes, it’s going to go so quickly, I hope I can slow down and enjoy every day that is left before he arrives :)
So exciting! Feel exactly the same way with being impatient to meet our little girl but also wanting to make the most of being pregnant and enjoy it for the short time that’s left!
Loving the French Riviera look. Remarkably I haven’t bought any clothes yet! We’ve been busy buying all the big things but looking forward to buying some adorable clothes over the Christmas break!
I’ve been restraining myself from buying too much stuff! We already have a crib and a pram (we had both before I got pregnant haha, because they were such good deals). I’m looking forward to the after Christmas sales, then I will probably get the rest of the things I need later next year. Baby shopping is so addictive!
hey fellow adelaidian! I just stumbled across your blog, and it’s so cute and congratulations! having a baby must be so difficult! My friend is expecting her first baby very very soon, and these baby clothes look perfect! xox

Hello! It’s always fun to ‘meet’ other Adelaide bloggers :)
Hi Lyndall.
Your excitement about your pregnancy just resonates through your blog. I love how much your enjoying the experience & sharing it with us. Makes me excited about having children (one day).
Are you having a baby shower? Maybe you could have a virtual one through your blog? :)

Aww, thank you for such a sweet comment! Well, you’re making a thesis which is like a million times harder than having a baby, hehe~
My sister in law is planning a baby shower for me next year in March, but I like the idea of having a virtual one! I’ve seen other people do that and it looked like fun :)
oh gosh how exciting! you must be so anxious to meet your son :)
Yes, I can’t wait! But at the same time, I’m trying to enjoy things slowly because I know the time will go so fast :)
Aw, how fun! I wonder if there’s a free class like that near me. I have been missing yoga but like you I stopped because my normal 90 minute ashtanga series was a bit rough once my belly started sticking out. ;)
I’m 34 weeks now and trust me, once you hit that 20 week mark things start to speed up! :)
My class is run as part of the antenatal care at my hospital :) Maybe yours has something similar?
Everything seems to be going by really quickly! I think while I had morning sickness it felt like time was dragging but once I started to feel better the time has been flying by.
